About Dr. Clayton
Meet Douglas Clayton, Ed.D.
Doug is a global culture transformation strategist lauded for developing leaders and maximizing employee engagement to drive performance. He earned his doctorate degree in corporate learning and education from the University of Pennsylvania, is a Wharton Business School alum, and earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development from Villanova University.
Doug’s current role as Founder & CEO, Leadership FilmWorks LLC enables him to serve as a cultural change strategist and consultant, award-winning film and documentary producer and director, published author, and speaker working with clients on how to use film to inspire and develop leaders at all levels.
Doug is the creator of the “Total Recall” evidence-based model used to enhance learning, comprehension, and recall in corporate-learning settings. He produced and directed two award-winning documentaries – Dovere for Camden and The Heart of Camden – the Story of Father Michael Doyle. He has also produced several corporate parodies of mainstream movies such as the James Bond series (teaching job competencies), The Godfather (reinforcing company values), Star Trek (the importance of execution), and Mission: Impossible (introducing knowledge management).
Doug worked previously for the world’s largest satellite service provider SES as Senior Vice President, Human Capital Americas and Leadership Development where he led the Talent Acquisition and Talent and Performance Management functions globally, focused on employee development within all functions. He also held other executive positions as Senior Vice President, Human Resources of several divisions and Director, Employee & Labor Relations, where he successfully executed global Talent Acquisition, Compensation Programs, Employee Relations, and Labor Relations strategies. He served as key partner to the CEO and led a team of HR professionals in the US and Europe.
